Cartoon depicts image of “dangerous older driver”
By Jessica Walker | June 23rd, 2009 | Category: Action Alerts |In the June 17th edition of the Boston Globe: syndicated cartoonist Dan Wasserman depicts a cranky old man at the wheel of a car that has just plowed through the wall of a DMV office. In case you did not recognize the driver as aged, a front bumper license plate reads “OVR 80.” As his car knocks everything askew before the desk of a startled clerk, the driver cries out: “Is this where I come for that blankety-blank driving test?” Click here to see the cartoon (and perhaps leave a respectful comment informing the cartoonist that his depiction is ageist).
